Oregano (US /ɔːˈrɛɡənoʊ/ or /əˈrɛɡənoʊ/; UK /ˌɒrɪˈɡɑːnoʊ/; scientific name Origanum vulgare) is a common species of Origanum, a genus of the mint family (Lamiaceae). It is native to temperate western and southwestern Eurasia and the Mediterranean region.
