The mackerel icefish, Champsocephalus gunnari, is a fish found only in the Southern Ocean. They are mainly to be found near Heard and McDonald Islands, Îles Kerguelen and islands in the south Atlantic such as South Georgia. Due to overfishing, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) considers the species "depleted" It can turn invisible, because of the white blood that contains anti freeze. It's normal size is 22-25 ft long. Only 1 ft when it is born.
