Zygaena carniolica is a member of the Zygaenidae family. It is found in most of Europe, except northern Scandinavia. The wingspan is 30–35 mm. Adults are on wing from July to August. Adults feed on the nectar of flowers in the Fabaceae family. The larvae feed on Lotus species.
