Clematis fremontii is a species of flowering plant in the buttercup family known by the common name Fremont's leather flower. It is native to the United States, where it is known from Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. It is also present in Georgia and Tennessee. This plant is generally found on limestone soils. Its natural habitat is glades and prairies. This can be used as a garden plant.
