Hovea linearis (Common Hovea) is a slender shrub in the family Fabaceae, native to Australia. The upper leaves are narrow and long while the lower leaves are oval-shaped. Purple (or occasionally white) flowers are produced in the spring. The species occurs in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
