Nyctophilus howensis (Lord Howe Long-eared Bat)

The Lord Howe long-eared bat (Nyctophilus howensis) is a species of vesper bat. It is known only from a single skull found on Lord Howe Island in 1972 and dated to the twentieth century. It may thus be extinct; if not it is certainly endangered.
