Acrocarpus

Acrocarpus is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae. It belongs to the sub family Caesalpinioideae. The genus includes two tree species found in south Asia. It has pinnate, compound leaves, with red flowers. After blooming, the trees produce flat, long pods. A. fraxinifolius can reach up to 60 m (196 ft) in height and it is used for timber.
