Wikipedia Abstract

Ancylis myrtillana is a moth of the Tortricidae family. It was described by Treitschke in 1830. It is found in most of Europe and has also been recorded in North America. The habitat consists of moorland. The wingspan is 12–16 mm. Adults are on wing from May to July in one generation per year. The larvae feed on Vaccinium myrtillus, Vaccinium vitis-idaea and Vaccinium uliginosum. They feed from within a pod, created by spinning two leaves together. The species overwinters as a final instar larvae within a cocoon made in litter.
