Wikipedia Abstract

Caladenia picta is a small orchid found in eastern Australia. It is found in eucalyptus woodland or forest. It flowers in autumn, unlike many of the orchids in the genus Caladenia. This orchid was first described as a subspecies of Caladenia alba in 1931 by W.H. Nicholls, before being reclassified as a species in its own right in 1989. Caladenia picta is a terrestrial orchid, with a single white flower appearing 15 cm (5.9 in) above the ground.
