Quercus planipocula is a Mexican species of trees in the beech family. It is native to western Mexico in Sinaloa, Nayarit, and Guerrero. Quercus planipocula is a large forest tree up to 20 meters tall with a trunk often more than 60 cm in diameter. Leaves are as much as 27 cm long.
