The black-naped woodpecker (Picus guerini) is a bird in the Picidae family. It has a large range, being found in the Himalayas from northern Pakistan through northern India, Nepal, and Bhutan into southern, central and eastern China, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Southeast Asia. This species was considered conspecific with the grey-headed woodpecker (Picus canus).
