The name honours George Albert Boulenger, an eminent herpetologist. Cryptobatrachus boulengeri is found on rocks within fast-flowing streams in montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss caused by agriculture, logging, and infrastructure development. Deforestation around streams is a particular threat. |
