The yellow-bellied brush-furred rat (Lophuromys luteogaster) is a species of rodent in the family Muridae. It is endemic to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa. It occurs in forested habitat and can also be found in cultivated areas. This is a rare species but it is not considered to be threatened.
