Tupaia javanica (Javan Tree Shrew; Horsfield's Treeshrew)

Wikipedia Abstract

Horsfield's treeshrew or Javan treeshrew (Tupaia javanica) is a treeshrew species of the family Tupaiidae. It is endemic to Indonesia. First described by Thomas Horsfield in 1822, the habitat requirements of Horsfield's treeshrew are still undocumented. The species can be found on several Indonesian islands: Bali, Java, West Sumatra, and Nias. Several subspecies have been proposed based on variation in colourisation; however, colour is an unreliable distinguishing character.
