The yellow-crested helmetshrike (Prionops alberti) is a species of bird in the helmetshrike family Prionopidae, formerly usually included in the Malaconotidae. It is endemic to Democratic Republic of the Congo. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
