Wikipedia Abstract

The black-headed antbird (Percnostola rufifrons) is a species of bird in the family Thamnophilidae.It is found in Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. Some authorities now regard the subspecies "minor" as a separate species with the English name Amazonas antbird. This putative species is found in Amazonian Brazil and adjacent areas of Venezuela, Colombia and Peru. It is found in humid forests and secondary woodland often on sandy soil.
