The Andean swallow (Haplochelidon andecola) is a species of bird in the family Hirundinidae. It is monotypic within the genus Haplochelidon.Found in the South American countries of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru, its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.
