The varzea piculet (Picumnus varzeae) is a species of bird in the Picidae family, the woodpeckers, piculets, and wrynecks. It is endemic to Brazil's Amazon basin. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical swamps, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and heavily degraded former forest.
