Wikipedia Abstract

The streaked shearwater (Calonectris leucomelas) is a species of seabird. The bird is 48 cm (19 in) in size, with a 122 cm (48 in) wingspan. This species is pelagic, but also occurs in inshore waters. It occurs in the Pacific Ocean, nesting predominantly in Japan and many of its offshore islands as well as on several South Korean islands such as Sasu Island (사수도) and Chilbal Island (칠발도). After breeding, the streaked shearwater migrates toward southern Australia. It has been reported well off the west coast of the United States and from the southern coast of India.
