The Swierstra's francolin (Pternistis swierstrai) is a species of bird in the Phasianidae family. It is found only in Angola. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss. The scientific name commemorates the South African entomologist Cornelis Jacobus Swierstra.
