The angular angel shark or spiny angel shark (Squatina guggenheim) is an angel shark of the family Squatinidae found off southern Brazil, Uruguay, and northern Argentina at depths of between 4 and 265 m. Its length is up to 1.3 m. Reproduction is ovoviviparous, with 6 to 8 pups in a litter. Shallow inshore regions are important as nursery grounds for this endangered species.
