The sheepshead minnow or sheepshead pupfish (Cyprinodon variegatus variegatus) is a subspecies of ray-finned fish in the family Cyprinodontidae, the pupfishes. It is found in salt marsh and estuary environments and is native to the eastern coasts of North and Central America.
