Chilobrycon deuterodon is a species of characin endemic to Peru, where it is found in the Tumbes River. It is the only member of its genus. It can be found in fresh water at pelgic depths. This species is native to a tropical climate. C. deuteron can reach about 10.8 cm (4.2 in) as an unsexed male. This species is distributed in the Tumbes River and the Pacific slope of northern Peru.
