Wikipedia Abstract

Oryzias curvinotus or the Malabar ricefish are a freshwater–brackish fish species native to the Gulf of Kutch to Trivandrum, Kerala, India. Their maximum length is only 3 centimetres (1.2 in), so their diet is small, normally mosquito larvae. They are normally found in estuaries but can live in fresh water for a short time. They breed July–August.
