Symmetrischema escondidella

Wikipedia Abstract

Symmetrischema escondidella is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Landry in 2010. It is found on the Galapagos Islands. The length of the forewings is 3.6–4 mm for males and 3.6-4.5 mm for females. The forewings are dark brown, with most scales tricoloured except some black scales forming a diagonal patch on the costa to the midline at one-fourth, three dashes increasing in length just above the midline before and after the middle and at four-fifths, and at three-fourths smaller spots at and near the base. There is also chestnut-brown scaling forming four longitudinal lines. The hindwings are greyish brown.
