The False Chalkhill Blue (Polyommatus corydonius) is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. The species is distributed in Caucasus, Transcaucasia, NE Turkey, and NW Iran,. It inhabits wide variety of grasslands and woodlands. In Armenia occurs from 1200 to 2000 m a.s.l. The known larval host plants of the species in Turkey is Hippocrepis comosa, in Caucasus - Coronilla varia.The species has not been assessed for IUCN Red List. In Armenia during 2003-2013 it demonstrates increasing population trend.
