Aedia arctipennis is a species of moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in Indonesia (Tenimbar Islands) and Australia, where it has been recorded from Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland. The wingspan is about 30 mm. The forewings are fawn with a vague pattern. The hindwings are off-white with black submarginal bands. The larvae feed on Ipomoea pes-carpae. They are speckled grey with yellow stripes outlined in black. The head is grey with black dots. Full-grown larvae reach a length of about 30 mm. Pupation takes place underground in a cocoon.
