Wikipedia Abstract

Hylypnes leptosticta is a moth in the Xyloryctidae family. It was described by Turner in 1947. It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from Queensland. The wingspan is 18-20 mm. The forewings are ochreous-whitish with fine fuscous dots and a dot on the base of the fold. The first discal is found at one-fourth, the plical beyond it, sometimes two dots on the end of the cell. A subcostal series of dots is found beyond the middle, recurved before the apex to the end above the mid-dorsum. There is also a series of dots on the termen and apical part of the costa. The hindwings are whitish.
