Scrobipalpa corleyi

Wikipedia Abstract

Scrobipalpa corleyi is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Huemer and Karsholt in 2010. It is found in Portugal. The larvae feed on Phalacrocarpum oppositifolium. They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine starts in the basal part of the leaf. A single larva mines several leaves. These mined leaves are knit together by silk, forming a withered bunch. Pupation takes place outside of the mine in a tough cocoon.
