Frankeniaceae

Wikipedia Abstract

The Frankeniaceae are a family of flowering plants (Angiosperms), widely recognized by many taxonomists; it has commonly been assumed to be closely related to family Tamaricaceae. The APG II system, of 2003 (unchanged from the APG system, of 1998) also recognizes such a family and assigns it to the order Caryophyllales in the clade core eudicots. The family consists of up to 100 species in four genera: Frankenia, Hypericopsis, Anthobryum and Niederleinia.
