Atelopus petersi is a species of toad in the family Bufonidae.It is endemic to Ecuador.Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and rivers at elevations of 2660–3300 m above sea level.It is threatened by habitat loss and is now extinct; the last confirmed record was in 1996.
