Agelaia pallipes, a paper wasp, is a species of neotropical social wasp found from Costa Rica to Argentina and Paraguay and feeds on other insects like flies, moths, and ground crickets. It is a swarm-founding, eusocial species of wasp that is polygynic. Furthermore, A. pallipes is a ground-nesting species and is among the most aggressive wasps in South America.
