This beetle is distributed in Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, China, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Mongolia, North Korea, Norway, Poland, South Korea, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ukraine. Adult beetle feeds on Norway spruce.
