Wikipedia Abstract

Caryocolum petrophila is a moth of the Gelechiidae family. It is found in France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Estonia, Scandinavia, the Republic of Macedonia and Russia. It is also found in Turkey. The length of the forewings is 5–6 mm for males and about 5 mm for females. The forewings are whitish, mottled with grey brown and with scattered orange-brown scales. Adults have been recorded on wing from June to mid-September.
