Teldenia nigrinotata

Wikipedia Abstract

Teldenia nigrinotata is a moth in the Drepanidae family. It was described by Warren in 1896. It is found on Fergusson Island and in New Guinea and possibly Australia. The length of the forewings is 9.5-12 mm for males and 10.5-14.5 mm for females. The forewings have a double postmedial and single subterminal and terminal fasciae. The distal line of the postmedial fascia is thin and pale brown and the proximal line is reduced to dark brown spots. The subterminalfascia is light brown and the terminal fascia dark brown, sometimes reduced to spots between the veins. The hindwings are similar, but the postmedial fascia retains its position and the subterminal fascia ends at the anal angle.
