Asota plaginota is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Sikkim, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. The wingspan is 61–65 mm.
