Wikipedia Abstract

Arthroschista hilaris, the kadam defoliator, is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Walker in 1859. It is found in India, Sri Lanka, Burma, Cambodia, Sumatra, Borneo and in Australia, where it has been recorded from Queensland. The wingspan is about 30 mm. The wings are green, the forewings with a brown line along the costa with two brown dots. The hindwings have brown dots along the margin. The larvae feed on Neolamarckia cadamba. They have a yellow body with a brown head. Pupation takes place on the ground amongst litter.
