Macrosoma albifascia is moth-like butterfly described by William Warren in 1904. It belongs to the Hedylidae family. Originally it belonged to the genus Phellinodes. A subspecies with the name M. albifascia albifascia was defined by Warren. Another subspecies M. albifascia expedita was proposed by Louis Beethoven Prout in 1932.
