Favonius orientalis is an East Palearctic species of hairstreak butterfly found in China, Amur, Ussuri, Kunashir, Japan, and Korea. The larva feeds on Quercus mongolica , Quercus serrata, Quercus dentata, Quercus acutissima, Quercus variabilis and Fabaceae.
