Dodanga cristata is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Hampson in 1891. It is found in India, and Sri Lanka. Wingspan is about 18mm. Male has fulvous yellow body. Head roughly scaled. Abdomen tinged with fuscous color. Tarsi of fore legs extremely slender. Fore wings with indistinct waved subbasal and antemedial lines. A white speck found at end of cell. There is a postmedial line which is highly excurved round cell. A submarginal dentate line with black patches found beyond it at middle and outer angle. Tufts on inner margin are black. Some white specks found on costa towards apex. Hind wings pale fuscous.
