Charaxes howarthi is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Tanzania, northern Angola, northern Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (Shaba). The habitat consists of Brachystegia woodland and open forests. The larvae feed on Brachystegia spiciformis and Albizia antunesiana.
