Wikipedia Abstract

Coleophora galatellae is a moth of the Coleophoridae family. It is found from Germany to the Pyrenees and Italy and from France to Hungary. It is also known from southern Russia. The larvae feed on Aster linosyris. They create an elongate, tubular silken case which is decorated by about six broad bands of rather coarse sand grains. The case is 5–7 mm long and the mouth angle is about 45°. Larvae can be found from September to May.
