Paranthrene tabaniformis, the dusky clearwing, is a moth of the family Sesiidae. It is found in the Palearctic ecozone and the Nearctic ecozone. The wingspan is c. 30 mm. The length of the forewings is c. 14 mm. The moth flies from May to August depending on the location. The larvae feed on poplar, but sometimes also sea-buckthorn and willow.
