Prolita variabilis is a moth of the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Busck in 1903. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from California, Colorado, Arizona, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Washington, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The larvae have been reported feeding on Ericameria linearifolia.
