Aeromonas culicicola is a gram-negative, oxidase- and catalase-positive, gram-negative bacterium from the genus of Aeromonas with a polar flagellum which was isolated from the midgut of a female Culex quinquefasciatus in India and the mosquito Aedes aegyptii .
