Description:The California coastal redwood group occurs from the Klamath Mountains of extreme southwestern Oregon south to Monterey County, California, always within the oceanic fog belt, and contains the tallest forests in North America (over 100 m), dominated by Sequoia sempervirens or Chamaecyparis lawsoniana, with associates of Pseudotsuga menziesii, Tsuga heterophylla (northward), Notholithocarpus densiflorus, or Picea sitchensis.
