Description:This southern red oak - white oak dry forest is found in the Interior Low Plateau and Cumberland Plateau of Alabama, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The vegetation is dominated by Quercus spp. and lesser amounts of Carya spp. The canopy is continuous, and several species of Quercus may be present or codominant, such as Quercus falcata, Quercus alba, Quercus velutina, Quercus coccinea, and Quercus stellata.
