Recent molecular analysis has discovered that this species may in fact be closer to Bangsia in Thraupidae. It is found in Colombia and Ecuador.Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.It is threatened by habitat loss. |
