Ptocheia (or Ptokheia) was the ancient Greek female spirit of beggary. She was regarded as a companion (and a sister) of Penia and Amechania. Her opposites were Euthenia and Ploutos. She was mentioned by Aristophanes in his work entitled Plutus (549ff).
