Cyranichthys ornatissimus ("very ornate horned fish") is an extinct marine aulopiform fish from the Cenomanian epoch of what is now the Kipala formation in the Congo. The living animal would have had a gar-like or saury-like appearance, though, its closest living relatives are lancetfish and lizardfish.
